Our Treasurer (Deacon Stan Liao) asks those who present tithes or offerings by checks to be careful when writing the checks. In particular, the bottom row of numbers (routing number, account number, check number) must not be covered by the signature or by the memo (see illustrations below). If these numbers cannot be read by the bank's machine due to interference, the checks must be manually processed, thus requiring extra work.
