Firo Turns 10

Firo recently celebrated its 10th anniversary on the 28th September 2026. The team hosted a livestream together with Poramin Insom, Diego Salazar and Sal Mayweather reflecting on a decade of privacy-first innovation, community growth, and technical evolution in the cryptocurrency space. Firo Reference Wallet v0.14.18.1: Redesigned and More Efficient

The Firo Core desktop wallet has received its most significant visual overhaul in years. Version 0.14.18.1 brings a refreshed interface across the Overview, Send, Receive, transaction history, and masternode screens, with a collapsible sidebar, switchable light and dark themes, and a new dedicated Spark Names page.

Beyond the visuals, the release includes a major memory improvement: block privacy data is now kept in memory only when needed, significantly reducing memory use for full nodes and masternode operators.

Help List FIRO on Nova Markets

A community proposal is now live on Nova Markets - a decentralized perpetuals exchange - to list FIRO via their HIP-3 governance process. If passed, FIRO would be available for perpetual trading on a fully decentralized, non-custodial exchange. Backing it takes just a few clicks.
