Figma Thinkers - Beta Course Signup
Ok! Nate and I have been working hard designing and building the course and we’re ready to announce the beta cohort.
The thesis is that knowledge workers can do better work, gain professional agility and communicate better by learning to think and work visually.
The course is for product managers, UX researchers, founders, creators & developers.
It’s for people who need to communicate their ideas. It’s for people who work on design-adjacent work. It’s for people who want to be more self-sufficient. It’s for people that want a boost of creativity in their work.
You’ll leave the course feeling inspired and energized with a new set of communication tools, better able to communicate your ideas and work with others.
The Details
The beta cohort is capped at 12 people and starts March 13th (next Monday!).
Every week for 4 weeks there will be two 90-min sessions:
- Live instruction - Monday @ 12pm ET
- Studo session - Wednesday @ 11.30 ET
The four weeks will cover the following topics:
- Week 1: Figma Essentials: Get set up with Figma and learn the basics of frames, shapes, text, layouts. We’ll teach you how to collaborate and become comfortable in any Figma file.
- Week 2: Working Visually: Get confident working with design files, components and more advanced tools. Make mockups, concepts and wireframes and work with design files that someone else made. Learn how to give better visual feedback on concepts.
- Week 3: Thinking Visually: Get inspired to use Figma for knowledge work like running workshops, designing presentations and creating diagrams and visuals.
- Week 4: Get Creative! Work on your own project, whether it’s a website mockup, presentation template or personal design system. Get 1:1 feedback and support.
Every week there will be a project so every week you’re making things in Figma that are immediately practical and useful, plus as part of the course you’ll build a your own design toolkit Figma file.
The beta cohort is $499 - a deep discount from what the final course will be as we work through the format.
Much love,
Nate & Tom
