Fieldcraft is going twice a week
You have been getting one demo a day from us. That stops here: Thursday's issue was the last daily one.
From Monday, Fieldcraft comes twice a week, and each issue looks at the whole field instead of one pick.
Monday: demos. Every demo that went live on Steam the week before. Last week that was 1,529 of them, the busiest week since we started counting in June (the June Next Fest week had 813), and we read every one morning and evening from the day it dropped.
Friday: playtests, tech tests and open betas. Every test that ran on Steam that week, including the ones handed out through Discord keys that never show up on a store page.
In both you get the same few lists: the games that drew a bigger crowd than their following explains, the biggest crowds, the ones players kept coming back to, what launched, who got signed, and whose followers are climbing fastest. Each list says in plain words what it measures.
Why the change: one day is too short to tell a real crowd from a lucky morning. A week is enough to see who stayed.
The first edition lands on Monday 19 October, the day Steam Next Fest opens. Every issue is also kept on fieldcraft.gg, and the old daily issues stay in the archive there.
You don't need to do anything. If twice a week is not for you, the unsubscribe link is at the bottom.
