# 9 November 2024
Yes you're getting a November update when the month is almost over but it's fine because there is BIG NEWS:
You can now preorder The Vow on itch.io, releasing December 6th.
The Vow is done.
Well, almost. There's still a little daylight between now and the printed book arriving at our doorstop, but the comic itself is complete. I'm so proud of what Arden and I have made together and I can't wait for people to meet Oz and Lalo.
The PDF has been released to all Kickstarter backers at the Novitiate tier and above. (If you haven't received a message about this, please contact me!) We're not committing to a firm launch date for the print copy just yet, but we're still on track to be shipping by February.
...and now that the comic's done, time to start on those stretch goal rewards!
There's already a shift in the way life feels, waking up during workdays and having one of my first impulses be to go sit down to a project that no longer needs me. There's no more pages to ink or tone. The particular empty spot you get in your life from finishing Your Thing is hard to describe. It's not unenjoyable -- especially since now I get to actually talk to people about the book and what's in it -- but since the start of 2020 The Vow has been the gravitational center of my creative life. It will be very strange to see it fully complete (and in time, replace that gravitational center with the next big project...!)
As always, thank you for reading and thank you so, so much to everyone whose support and love made it possible for this comic to see print.
Watching: It pains me to be honest about this but Arden and I have been marathoning Love Island UK S3. It makes me feel actively dumber watching these sunburnt 22 year olds do little challenges and get in fights but I'm sort of hooked. I've also been watching a bunch of phenomenally good movies the last few weeks (Jacob's Ladder, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Broadcast News, Tampopo) but I'm saving more thoughts on that for an end of year wrapup.
Misc: I got nothin else right now. My brain's cooked man. Read our comic
