Hello everyone, with the end of Pride we officially enter Wrath Month! Most important for the season:

THE VOW KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!!

The campaign will be running until August 6th. For newer subscribers, The Vow is a queer erotic horror graphic novel written by my partner Arden Ripley and illustrated by myself, Julian Cormac. It centers on two nonbinary characters, Oz and Lalo, whose longstanding rivalry is matched in intensity only by their sexual chemistry. When they're paired together by their shadowy employer for a supernatural monster hunt, the unresolved tension between them builds to a fever pitch.

The Vow clocks in at a little under 300 pages and will be printed in greyscale. Arden and I have been working on this book since 2020, and it's almost ready for the world. We're crowdfunding to gather funds for its first print run, currently aiming to have The Vow completed by November and in your hands by February.

I am so excited for this project to finally see the light of day and I hope you all are looking forward to reading The Vow. Below is a look at the tiers we're offering (priced in USD).

It's possible that we may do more merch-y things like keychains etc. later (honestly would love to do this) but for now it's Book Time. Also of note: because of the shifting prices of postage in our country, shipping will not be charged upfront. It will be collected later via Backerkit when we are ready to start sending out books.

This is to help cut down on unexpected costs — for example, in the time since we set up the Kickstarter page, USPS has already raised postage prices. We're still a little ways out from having The Vow in hand and ready to send to you, so playing it safe in terms of shipping estimates feels like the best option overall.

There are also several stretch goals for this campaign! These goals will unlock as time and the campaign progress, so keep an eye out for that! In next month's newsletter, you'll receive an update on where we stand on those, but if you're dying to know...the best way to make sure those get announced is unlocking them ;0

Fun fact: these were both inked by hand, the first time I've done that for a proper illustration in at least several years. It was a nice challenge to stretch some old muscles, I'd like to do more of these for future subscriber milestones!
