Hi all, thanks again for subscribing to the email newsletter! As the organiser, it’s fun and all to make these banners that are great for modern social media…but not much beats the idea of sending a personal note to your digital postie through the toobs.<3
A new event notice for you all! MOKUM on the 29th of May, at 6PM!The idea of this FCC is to help formalise a bit of how we run the night to avoid some of the issues atm:
Crew tells you we gotta jet with like 10 minutes notice, lame
Crew doesn’t really have a structure so it’s a yap fest
SO we have a few novel ideas on how to run this one…
General Structure of FCC3
We are gonna start the next Feral Computer Club with some formal introductions on names, pronouns and what you are keen on around computers as of late!
If we have a speaker to talk about their little passion project (we may have a person who is going to rip absolute shreds on IEEE floating-point this week), we’ll have them present!
After this, we’ll have a bit of a heads down session, whether it’s to smash out your passion projects, pwning a box or writing up your script for your visual novel. We plan for this to be about an hour whilst everyone has dinner.
Around half way, we can have a little show and tell if you wanna show off, or get help/feedback. The aim here is that we want it to be a space where YOU feel like it’s a comfortable space for work and it doesn’t feel like everyone is backseat driving, but active on what they want help on.
After this… the beers yap fest for a few hours till 30 minutes before close at 20:30 B)
