#feministfriday episode 490 | two worlds
Good afternoon everyone,
It's been a busy week, but last Saturday I saw a tiny exhibition I really enjoyed at the Leighton House. Maha Ahmed's Where Worlds Meet. You should definitely go and see it. It's lovely, quite small, detailed pictures done in gouache with both Persian and Japanese influences.
These herons kissing is the picture for which the exhibition is named, Where two worlds come to meet:
I am such a sucker for both critters in general and art that breaks the frame, so I was thrilled that An unfolding did both of these things:
They all play with whitespace, and I really like how A world within, and without does that:
Love,
Alex.
