🔎 Trying to Focus

Happy Wednesday again! Sorry for the later email today!

🏈 Seahawks lost again this past weekend and have a game against San Francisco tomorrow. Back to being a .500 team.

We have five items this week! (357 words; ~1.5 minute read time)

3. 🗣️ PULPIT ROTATION ON SUNDAY

4. 📊 FECC FINANCIAL REPORT Q&A

All FECC members are invited to attend the financial report question and answer session this Sunday at 2pm in the DTC chapel. This will be an opportunity for church members to interact with our treasurer and the Board of Directors concerning FECC's 2023 financial report.

5. 📕 BOOK OF THE WEEK

After a four month wait, I was finally able to borrow and read Stolen Focus by Johann Hari. Similar to our Sunday school book, the author goes on a three month fast from all screens and documents his experience. In addition, he looks at the factors in our society that contribute to our overall lack of focus.

👉 Why is this important? Having the ability to focus is critical if I want to develop spiritual depth and maturity. It's really hard to pray when I am unable to focus. Discovering the factors and habits that are keeping me scatterbrained and working to reverse these practices will help me as I desire to draw near to God.

You can still join our Sunday school class as we delve into this topic!

Have a great rest of the week!
