We have six(!) items this week! (501 words; ~2 minute read time)

We will hold our preview of the Alpha course tomorrow during our Phileo fellowship meeting. Doors open at 7:00pm with the program beginning at 7:45pm. We will have snacks for you to munch on before we begin so come on out!

  • The regular gatherings will begin on Saturday, September 28 and will meet twice a month. Dinner will be included!
  • Please invite those you know who would benefit from this group!

3. 😞 ZELLE GIVING CURRENTLY DOWN

Our apologies if you have attempted to give to FECC via Zelle recently! Our bank's connection to Zelle is currently down so we are unable to receive any gifts. I will keep you updated as to when this situation is resolved.

The other option is to head to our giving page and use our giving site. Thank you for your patience!

4. 🙏 KAIROS PRAYER MEETING

Come join this time of prayer as we lift up the needs we see around us! It may seem pointless and inconsequential to spend this time together, but our hope is in a God who takes something small and transforms it into something significant. As we pray, we too are transformed into who God designed us to be.

We will pray this Sunday at 10:00am in D107.

5. 📚 CURRENT READS

🤓 Here's what I've been reading recently. It kinda gives a glimpse to where my head has been. Haha!

Not In It to Win It has been helpful with our recent sermon series on the church and politics. I appreciate the perspective on what actually matters when it comes to our interactions with the world of politics. Ultimately, we are about the Kingdom of God and not any particular kingdom here on earth.

Matterhorn was a free ebook I picked up from Amazon. I'm a sucker for action/spy books and I very much enjoyed the story. The publishers always bait you with the first book and then makes you want to purchase the next books to keep following the main character.

Slow Productivity came from the library and I've always been fascinated by Cal Newports writing. I think his approach to knowledge work, which includes part of what I do, helps clarify how I can be working more effectively and creatively.

6. ❎ FOR MY GEN X PEEPS
