Happy Wednesday to you!

In the Tan household, we are gearing up for the start of school next Wednesday! Sheesh! All these evening meetings are popping up in preparation for the new academic year. Registration, parent orientation, coaches meeting, referee orientation, etc. The relaxing summer evenings are going away! 😢

1. 🧎🏻 FORTY DAYS OF PRAYER IN PROGRESS

We celebrated our church's thirty-seventh anniversary this past Sunday! We also launched our forty days of prayer devotional to seek God's face together as a church and to Rise Up and Build.

• The physical copy only has the first twenty days. We will distribute the remaining twenty days in a few weeks.

2. 🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES

It's been an exciting summer with the church events and trips! With school starting, it may seem that we have a little breather before activities kick up again. As a church staff, August will have some important things going on.

• Next Thursday, our deacons and directors nomination committee will be meeting to identify candidates for our church leaders. After being identified, willing candidates will be presented to the church membership for approval.
• On August 26-28, the pastoral staff will have their annual planning retreat at Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside. All of the staff will gather to pray and discern God's leading for 2026.
• On August 28, the pastoral staff, deacons, and directors will gather for prayer on behalf of the church.

🙏 All this is in addition to our regular weekly gatherings. So if you could remember the church leaders in prayer, it would be greatly appreciated!!
