Fablehenge Search and Dashboard

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since we sent out an e-mail, but we’ve been keeping busy!

We now have a search feature to find specific words or phrases in your text. It can be found in the “Outline Filter” menu in the outline toolbar. For more information, see our blog article on the feature: https://blog.fablehenge.com/updates/search/

We’ve also improved our dashboard, which was previously just a list of books you’ve created. In addition to your recent books, it now also shows word counts against your goal as well as an estimate of how many days you’ve spent writing and all your outstanding feedback. See https://blog.fablehenge.com/updates/dashboard/

Finally, our second “Writing Tips” article has gone up, answering the age-old question, “where do I start?” https://blog.fablehenge.com/on-writing/first_steps_crafting_novel/

We’re planning to step back from new features for a short while now as we do some internal updates to make the codebase more pleasant to work on. We made some decisions in March based on available information that are not the decisions we would make with the information we have now. Rather than letting tech debt accrue, we’re going to resolve it immediately. The app shouldn’t change as a result of this work (other than some minor design tweaks).

As always, if you have any burning questions, bugs, or desired features, let us know and we’ll try our best to accommodate you!
