Tomorrow, High Sights ~ ExGld
Hello Explorers!
This is a gentle reminder that tomorrow (June 15th) is our next event: High Sights.
Steadfast Explorers are invited to join us this Saturday, June 15, for a light-footed, high-minded walk around San Francisco. We'll meet at the Embarcadero at 9am. Over the course of 12 miles we'll climb hill after hill in search of the best view, the brightest mural, the lingering fog, the thought we had yesterday that felt profound but no longer coalesces, deeply scented roses, ourselves, each other, joyful camaraderie, and cats in windows. Whatever we might find, really.
This event is a long, hilly, urban walk. Explorers are advised to wear good walking shoes, suitable layers of clothing for warm, windy, and/or cool conditions (it is San Francisco after all), and a jaunty hat. Sunscreen, water bottle, and food for lunch and snacks are also good ideas. As luck would have it, we will pass by a couple of sandwich shops just before lunch time, so grabbing some food while we're out is also an option. Children and pets are welcome on the walk, but please note that our route is not stroller friendly. We expect to reach the end of the walk, at Dolores Park, by about 3pm. Join us! We'll all be glad you came.
