Time to Play! ~ ExGld
Greetings Explorers!
It looks like the Aftel Archive was as lovely as the smell of roses, Frankincense, and Myrrh all combined. Thank you to everyone who came out and we should have the Captain’s Report soon.
Now, May is a big month for us. We’re a few weeks away from our Adventure Camp event which means so much of our attention is still on that. If you haven’t come out for a play test or for a build day, those opportunities are starting to dwindle.
Play Tests: May 4 & 10th

These might be the last opportunities to come out and play with us. So if you’re missing out, plan accordingly.
May 4th (Sunday) is at Precita Park, San Francisco ~ 2-4:30pm
It’s always so lovely to have a place in the city to run around and test some games. Even for those that are just coming by to say hello, it’s good to see so many happy faces. You can RSVP using the Partyful link, or just show up.
May 10th (Saturday) is at Joaquin Miller Park, Oakland ~ 1:30 - 4:40pm
This is our play test in the redwoods! It’ll be fun to set this in the big trees, just plan accordingly as it’s not near public transportation. More information can be found in the Partyful link.
Build Days

The workshops (yes we now have multiple spaces up and running for build prep) have been gaining a lot more momentum. We love having people over to build with us, whether it’s fabricating, painting, soldering, crafting, or cutting out a hundred of a specific thing.
Friday-Sundays for the next 4 weeks we’ll be hosting workshop days in the Laurel district of Oakland. If you’re available, we’d love to have you join us. For those that are attending, we can also minimize spoilers as best we can.
We are also working out at Raining Chainsaws in the Bayview of San Francisco. Currently Wednesday evenings are set aside as we work on costumes and larger builds.
If any of these sounds like how you like to have fun, you can either pop onto our Slack and find Dr. Professor to add you into our behind the scenes channel, or you can message me by replying to this email.
Onsite Help
As mentioned last time, we’re also still looking for a few more people to help us put on the event.
We have a number of opportunities like game masters, role players, set-up/take down helpers, onsite participant logistics, and food prep.
What we ask is for our onsite design team to be able to come out on Thursday, May 29th for set up and help us through June 1st (though ideally through June 2nd). We’ll be able to provide the team meals, cabin space, and lots of great stories.
If you think this might be you, let me know by replying to this message (apologies to those who emailed me last week and they got filtered, I’ll be looking at that daily going forward).

Ok, that’s all for now. Thank you all for reading these dispatches, and I hope you’re doing well.
