Stuffed Animal Taxidermy Workshop, Feb, 17 ~ ExGld
Hello Explorers!
As promised, it's time to signup for the Stuffed Animal Taxidermy Workshop.
Stuffed Animal Taxidermy - February 17th
We're finally getting to host our Stuffed Animal Taxidermy Workshop. Those lucky few who sign up will come out to the Explorers Guild Workshop and create a new cryptid. This is your chance to bring to life that creature you doodled as a kid or perhaps you can assemble a simulacra of that thing you swear you saw just outside the glow of a campfire. Chimeras of all shapes will be welcomed and as your host, I look forward to hearing from you as to what you made, where it comes from, and what its name is. Who knows, perhaps theres a badge in it for those that really get into their descriptions.
To be clear, each explorer will prepare their stuffed animal base for mounting, then we'll add various accoutrements to really make their creature shine. Perhaps it's antlers, or new eyes, or some extra arms, or some new teeth. Some basic sewing or felting knowledge is great to have but if you don't have any we'll teach you onsite. Once you have a good sense of what you've made, you'll get to name it and officially present it to the group. The sky is the limit (at least limited to what we'll have on hand) so bring your imagination to play.
Price of the workshop is to bring your own stuffed animal as the base. Please do not buy a new one. There are many stuffed animals in second hand stores, buy nothing groups, dog toy bins, family basements, & free piles. If you find several and are willing to share, let me know and I can make them available to the rest of the group. These stuffed animals should also be on the small size (something you can easily hold in a hand) as large stuffed animals will be too be for the mounting shields.
With all that said, if you are interested, sign up now. I do ask though that with such limited space you only sign up if you know for sure you'll be able to make it. We max out at 10, but will have a small wait list.
