There was so much fun and whimsy at our Steeplechase event, thank you to all of you who made it out. I now have a slough of Captain’s Reports to catch up on, but no time for that today. We have our next event coming up: High Sights is on Saturday, June 15th. If you’re interested in joining us, more information can be found in the call to adventure below.
High Sights
Have you ever felt the urge to climb to the top of a hill? Was it to see the view? To make a discovery? To answer a question? Here at the Explorer’s Guild we find the tippy tops of places entrancing, but we haven’t quite put our finger on why. It seems the best way to find an answer is to ascend ourselves. Here’s a chance to explore many great views and advance explorer research all without leaving city limits.
This will be a long exploration, about 13 miles, with a lot of up and down. It’s not quite a loop, but we will begin and end close to public transportation. Expect interesting city facts, hidden paths and staircases, exhilarating climbs to amazing views (fog allowing), reflection upon questions that rise to great heights, and the joy of wandering across our beautiful city in the company of whimsical friends.

Snacks and lunch
Sunscreen
Layered Clothing
We’ll meet in front of the Ferry Building at 9am on Saturday, June 15 and end at a transit friendly destination sometime between 3 and 4 pm.
