France Inquiry Call ~ ExGld

Hello Explorers!

Just a quick dispatch today to follow up on last week’s call to adventure on our expedition to France in June 2026.

First of all, thank you to all of you who expressed interest in the expedition, either by joining the #2026-france-curious Slack channel or by filling out our general interest form. Clearly there’s a strong interest to this adventure and the organizing group is really excited about what this trip can look like.

We’re having an information call this coming Monday, December 1st, from 7-8pm. If you are someone who is interested but feels uncertain, curious about the expedition plan, or have questions you’d like to ask, this will be a good opportunity to engage with the organizing group. If you are unable to make this meeting but self identify in one of those groups mentioned (or alternatively is gung-ho about joining and haven’t told us), please be sure to fill out the interest form so that we can loop you in as more information becomes available (including the notes from the call).

You can also send questions in advance (either email me or add a question in the Slack channel) so that we may make sure to address them during the call.

Labyrinth Keeper

Labyrinth Keeper Badge

During our visit to the Rosicrucian Museum, we ended in the labyrinth outside and I off handedly mentioned that if someone were to visit five of these a badge could be earned. Nearly everyone was surprised to hear this and I was reminded that messaging around this has often been sparse.

So first off, I apologize. In talking with the council, we’re going to make a concerted effort to be better around messaging of our badges. With so many things happening it’s easy for me to forget that many of you don’t know all the things that I know about the Explorers Guild (goodness that seems really obvious when written out like that).

So let me remind you of our Labyrinth Keeper badge. This badge was originally designed by Tybeck in 2017 as we sought to explore these meditative landmarks around the world. It was actually the first badge created outside the initial seven and also our first ritual badge. As a set, ritual badges were created for Explorers to complete over time and to help them experience the world in meaningful ways.

The Labyrinth Badge asks explorers to visit five labyrinths and provide proof of visitation. There is a field guide that is available to all Explorers which walks through the process of visiting a labyrinth. This guide was also formatted to fit on a single double sided sheet of paper, so it’s printable for those of you at home.

There are so many wonderful labyrinths one can visit in the Bay Area, but there is also a special ephemeral one this Friday evening, which only comes out once a year. So now is an excellent time to be in search of your Labyrinth Keeper badge.

Ephemeral Labyrinth Alert!

If you don’t know about this, you’re welcome to ping me on Slack and I will share more one on one.

Semper Explorandum Explorers!
