10 Year Success! - ExGld

Explorers!

Sunday was such an amazing day spent with so many lovely people. Thank you to everyone who came out, played games, painted gnomes, and shared stories. To those that braved street closures and the misty rain, thanks for sticking through and coming out. Also it was wonderful to meet those of you who had never been to an event before, I look forward to seeing you all at future events too.

To those of you who couldn’t make it, yet still sent messages of support, thank you too. After 10 years, the Explorers Guild is a large group and even from a distance your love was felt.

Still going, hours later (and inside!)

Big shout out to Belle Cunningham, Lark, Scylla, Edith, Lex, and Denorae; they all organized, bought supplies, assembled, cooked, set-up, and overall aided all the various needs to make sure the event happened.

Saturday, August 2nd - Transit Center Curio

Formerly the Cable Car to the Beach Curio, this meetup has changed. Belle Cunningham, having come right off of planning the Anniversary party is hosting a Curio tour for explorers. She writes:

Some of you may know I’ve been working on becoming a San Francisco City Guide. I’ve completed my classes (woo!) and the next step for me is to practice giving my tour. My tour is of the Salesforce Transbay Transit Center and its beautiful garden. I’ve learned so many cool things in my research and training. I’m excited to share this tour! And, I’m a little nervous to start giving this tour! I would love an enthusiastic audience to practice with. There will be art, and infrastructure, and plants with strange stories. This place is near and dear to my heart, and you can find out why when you join me at the gondola on the corner of Mission & Fremont streets this Saturday, August 2, starting at 10 am and going to about noon.

Details:

Saturday, August 2nd - 10am at the Salesforce Gondola.

Tour should end at around 12pm (noon).

As a reminder, curios are Explorer events that are structured differently from our normal events. They are are lighter, more casual events are meant to be an opportunity to socialize with other Explorers.
