dear internet,

i have been rewatching grey's anatomy instead of doing almost anything else. most weekends i go to the same birdwatching spot, where i make the same circuit—down the path that's marked for cars, then the one that's for horses, past the hide and the watch-tower and the pond with the swans—and i feel like a kindergarten child. look at the cows! look at the bunny! i have written to fifty potential flatmates (i have to move out of my current apartment in a month) and received two replies. the cherry blossoms have bloomed, and thrummed with bees, and bent under the weight of april snow, and fallen. in my neighbours' gardens the tulips are blackening from the inside. sometimes i dream of delhi summer: the pleasurable shock of a dark room, a cold drink, the a/c whirring itself awake.
