• on the magenta line to sukhdev vihar, 8.53am tuesday the 23rd. outside the sky is a gentle pink and i see what i think is a cloud and imagine it to be smoke from a chimney instead, as it would be if this were a book; then the rest of the scene slides into view and i realise i am looking at smoke from a chimney. the cloud was the fiction.
