dear internet,

this morning i typed about a hundred words re: how i haven't received my student visa yet, and then thought well that's a little self-indulgent and clicked the trash icon, and then received an email approving me for my visa—which, great—except that in order to actually get my visa i have to re-submit many of the same documents they needed to approve me in the first place—which, sure, fine—and then to celebrate i bought something i do not need and ate half a packet of chips.

i've also rewatched all of the baby-sitters club and the david-and-patrick-getting-together arc of schitt's creek, and have repeatedly tried but failed to read any of the books i wanted to read with all my Newfound Free Time, with the obvious result that my phone told me my screen time was up sixty-five percent this week. however, on sunday morning we went bird-watching and i saw both an early-ish bird catching a worm and another bird sitting, defiant triumphant, atop a scarecrow, which was nicer than my twitter feed, although the only reason i did not look at my twitter feed on the drive there/back was because i'd forgotten to take my charger with me and my battery drained out.

anyone else excited for the new season of succession?
