dear internet,

we are in october, and i am in münster, germany, where upon my arrival the man at customs, having confirmed that i was from india, asked me if i was carrying and gold; and the woman at the bakery down the road said i could practice my german with her ("it's hard! but you can do it!") and the man at the asian supermarket, where i was more emotional about soba and kimchi than garam masala and parotta, gave me free fortune cookies. also i have been caught in a hailstorm and walked until it felt like i didn't exist below the knees, that dissociating floating feeling that used to characterise my life until the last few months that i spent not leaving the house.

hello from this new timezone, from the cusp of student life, and apparently from mercury retrograde. anything can happen!
