valentine to the group chat, valentine to my abandoned knitting, valentine to the blue-tits in their nests, to the sound of a petal falling from a vase of tulips, to the shock of winter sun, to the platitude and the cliché, valentine to peach fanta cherry sprite coke zero, to the whatsapp sticker, to the spotify queue, to forgetting (sometimes), valentine to songs in languages i do not speak, valentine to the bunnies, to breakfast perched on my kitchen windowsill, to melatonin, to laughing through or because or despite, valentine to the television in the empty store that’s on through the night, to train-station croissants, to the algorithm (sometimes), valentine to eye-contact with strangers, to verschwending your zeit, to stopping to look, valentine to all the things i loved last year and all the loves that lie ahead.
