• why monsoon rain is the only thing that makes me miss school

• the view from my terrace of all these people on their terraces brisk-walking, plucking flowers from their home gardens, talking loudly on their phones
• the supreme whelmingness of a 'lockdown birthday' months after the novelty of a lockdown birthday has worn off
• the instagram account of caitlin reilly, whose videos i have been watching nightly, like an unhinged lullaby

i did not, as you can see, write about any of these things; but this week, let's just pretend i did.
