everything else: a story all about how
dear internet,
it's been a while! i would apologise, but i think it is a truth universally acknowledged that time has ceased to have any real meaning, and so instead i'll just catch you up:
i've been watching: wandavision, which i just finished today! i am terrible about binge-watching shows, and as someone who spends hours on twitter it's been safer to just ... not watch popular shows, because otherwise i inevitably see spoilers and ruin everything for myself. (i once read a star wars spoiler on twitter while on my way to the theatre to watch it). this is to say that the week-on-week formula really worked on me, as did everything about the show! i was a fan! i laughed, i cried, i listened to the theme songs until i wrecked my spotify algorithm! besides that, we've also been (re)watching the fresh prince of bel-air—i don't think i ever watched it, although as a 90s kid i obviously know the theme song—and the third season of moonlighting, which is currently the focal point of my entire being, if the incompetent and attractive detectives do not kiss soon i will be taking serious action.
i've been listening to: SAGA, a podcast on spotify about something that happened maybe six months before i moved to singapore for university—essentially, a ~mysterious group~ orchestrated a takeover of feminist organisation AWARE at its annual general meeting. all the meetings were recorded, which makes it great to listen to, but also the drama is so deliciously, exquisitely singaporean: everything plays out in exco meetings and stump speeches and forum letters. i'm about halfway through and cannot recommend it enough! musically: big thief, the new st vincent, the staves, the new(wish) IU.
i'm thinking about: my various online purchases which are on their way to me on a pleasingly unpredictable schedule. how my melatonin doesn't work and also not taking melatonin doesn't work, but also can you imagine if i had to do All This without even the placebo possibilities of melatonin. this one mosquito in my room that just won't die. the fact despite its (my) erratic schedule, it's been a year sending these letters to y'all—the longest i've managed to stick to any creative venture, which is pretty cool, right?
until next time.
love,
