How to avoid breaching copyright with your photos

Following Wednesday's Zoom about using photos...

One way to avoid breaching copyright when you’re looking for stock photos: search specifically for pictures that give you license to re-use them.

My preferred browser has the strange name DuckDuckGo. When I search, it allows me to filter the pictures it shows by, among other things, the right to re-use images, under the term Creative Commons.

I daresay that you can also filter that way with other browsers.

The picture below is a screenshot from my browser. I was looking for a photo of dark woodland in the UK. I’ve added an arrow to show you the reuse information.

When you find a picture you like, please be sure, if the information is available, to give credit to the person who shared it.
