“Please send me a photo of whatever’s on your wall.” That’s what I asked readers, a few weeks ago.

I was curious to know what happens when something as intimate as the pictures people put up at home are exposed to the view of an outsider - me, in this case.

[ This is the first in an occasional series. ]

I offered to draw the photo they sent me, then send back my drawing. I hoped this might give them a bit of distance - a different perspective - on what might have become so familiar it’s often taken for granted.
