Essential Effects: from early access to general release

You can purchase the early-access version anytime; you'll automatically receive the final version once it is published.
For the past two weeks I've been teaching courses, but now I'm back working through the list of issues to get the final version out, including EPUB and MOBI formats. I'm also polishing the last chapter, a case study to build a job scheduler using Cats Effect.
In other news:
- I gave an introductory talk about Cats Effect for for SF Scala group, and you can watch a recording on YouTube.
- Later this week I'm recording a podcast episode with Zach McCoy for The Scala Logs. I don't listen to podcasts, but I listen to this one. (Is that a contradiction? Very well, I'm contradictory). I'm sure we'll talk about the book, along with other nerdy things.
