Essays of Otto for Jan. 2, 2022 - An Oakes Family Christmas

Happy New Year, gentle reader!

The end of the year is a traditional time for totaling things up and taking stock, so, on this last day of the dread year 2021, I offer this report on the Oakes household’s holiday season. First things first: Belle still believes in Santa Claus. Also, I got an especially wonderful present this year—and from a stranger, no less!

I hope you enjoyed your holidays and that you aren't too sad they are over. If so, perhaps this week's essay might cheer you up?

Best wishes for the new year,

-Otto
