Tiny game, what killed Perl, and some linear algebra
You get to play a fun game! And learn about how popular Perl really is. And an identity from linear algebra there's a chance you already knew.
You have arrived at the mid-week hump. Have a $container of $beverage and enjoy some reading before you speed along with the rest of your life.

Arrival Radar
I made a tiny air traffic controller game in Pico-8. You can play it in your browser. It's a little addictive for a moment.

What Killed Perl?
Perl is not dead at all. It is actually just as popular as it was around the peak of the dotcom boom – possibly even more popular now. But new users make up a shrinking proportion of Perl users. Why is that?

Flashcard of the week
I am terrible at linear algebra, although I frequently wish I was better at it. One of the identities it took me embarrassingly long to learn is
(AB)ᵀ = ?
where anyone who works with this sees immediately that
(AB)ᵀ = BᵀAᵀ
but I keep second-guessing myself in the rare instances where I need to know this! Well, I'm sure the instances in which I need to know this are quite common, only I'm not good enough at linear algebra to even recognise them!
