New in my life

I have a scaphoid fracture in my right hand, after foolishly trying to arrest a fall with my hands instead of catching myself with my butt the way you're supposed to. This happened in a playground full of children, none the less!

The scaphoid bone is a tiny but important part of the wrist with unusually bad circulation, so it heals slowly, and it is easy to rip up the fracture again when using the hand. Thus, it needs to heal in a rather restrictive cast. I have had a cast for six weeks now, and still have two to go.
