What's going on?

SELCE is having a party - or a fundraising gig to be precise, on Sunday 29th June.

Who's playing? Where is it?

We've got a fantastic mix of local bands supporting us at The Amersham Arms including:

  • The Hit Men (funky soul-meisters)
  • Rude Mechanicals (pleasantly disturbing)
  • Elvers (Tom Waits’ UK cousins)
  • Rhythms of Resistance (have a guess!)
  • Isabella Tulloch and Mandolin Jack (blissed Americana)
  • DJ Max Quirk (groove-tastic tunes)

A few of SELCE’s founding directors, will also be giving brief chats in between acts during the evening to give an update on progress so far and hopefully enough info to inspire even more of you to get involved.

This sounds excellent, take my money

We're asking for a minimum donation of £5. You can buy tickets on the night, or online here:

Can I wear a tie-dye morphsuit to the gig?

Only those wearing tie-dye morphsuits will be admitted (not really).

Who or what is SELCE?

SELCE (South East London Community Energy) is a community-led group which aims to:

  1. Raise funds through a Community Share Issue. Anybody can buy shares and receive a target interest rate of 5% and get their investment back after 20 years

  2. Install solar panels on large south-facing roofs in Greenwich and Lewisham. We already have our first partner - a school in Woolwich

  3. Generate clean energy and reduce our partners energy bills

  4. Use the Feed-In-Tariff (guaranteed for 20 years) to repay investors and fund initiatives to reduce fuel-poverty in SE London
