GRANT UPDATE: Insulation grants for homeowners of different income levels
Dear Councillor |LNAME|,
Hope you are well.
My name is Flavia and I am writing from South East London Community Energy to remind you about two of our services that may benefit your constituents this winter with their energy bills.
And to ask, if you have a newsletter, please could you circulate this information to help let people know about these supports available to them.
1/ Free energy advice for anyone struggling with their energy bills. Our friendly advisors can help with: - free impartial 1:1 advice and advocacy; - eligibility checks for home improvement and white goods grants; - home visits to install measures that can help bring down the cost of keeping homes warm by up to £200; - for qualifying homeowners and private renters, we provide a free heating system maintenance and repair service.
To book an appointment with an energy advisor: Fill in this form energy.advice@selce.org.uk 0204 566 5764 (Monday-Friday 10 am - 4:30pm) Or find out where we are in person by clicking here.
2/ Help to insulate lofts for any Greenwich homeowner
Love Lofts is a programme to help homeowners insulate their lofts to currently recommended levels of 270-300mm. With 25% of heat going through the roof, loft insulation is one of the easiest and quickest changes that can be made to a home to make it more comfortable and less expensive to run.
Through the programme we provide: - Free loft assessment - Free assessments for the Great British Insulation Scheme - Quotes from trusted contractors - Guidance on how to install if you want to do it DIY - Free loft clearance of small and medium goods - £200 towards the cost of insulation
This programme is available to Greenwich and Lewisham homeowners. To find out more visit www.selce.org.uk/lovelofts lovelofts@selce.org.uk
Love Lofts is funded by Royal Borough of Greenwich, Lewisham Council, The Mayor of London and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
