Do you consider what is coming out of your mouth, as in the words you use. I have been on a learning journey for the past few months , soaking up a new 'thing'.
Technically, I've been learning Clinical Hypnosis with Rapid Resolution Therapy but in reality it's been about having a good strong look at how I use language, both in how I talk to people and how I talk to myself. This is as much about mindfulness as anything, which is why I love it.
So what is hypnosis? Reading a book. Watching a film. Having a conversation, even. Meditation! That's a good one! All these are forms of hypnosis, although, when I was first learning this I was saying to myself 'no it's not, it's watching a film, or whatever. But then if you consider that when you watch a film you go into an altered state, where you know it's not real yet you may still feel emotion and connection.
So, as it happens I want to begin using this form of therapy. It's hard to describe how it works but some of the cool things about it are (in my own words);
There's no 'working on' things. It's about uplifting, not delving. It is wholeheartedly respectful of the participant. It is fun, not serious. You don't have to feel any pain to feel better.
As I am newly qualified I have had little practice but the only way I can learn is by practicing. And the only was I can practice is by working with people. So if you are up for helping me at this early stage I am up for working with you for free, or if you want to make a contribution, you can. I won't be precious about it at all.
So please let me know if you would like to work with me in person or over Zoom. My intention is that our time together will have value for you and you will come out of it feeling at least a bit better - so what have you got to lose? Do you want to feel a bit better? A little less emotional turmoil - I know I'm always up for that!
I offer this with a genuine wish for your well being. I only want to provide things for people which are useful and that cause people to feel supported and uplifted. You can also pass this on to someone you think might get some value from it.
