whats growing in the garden (new gigs, new tunes, and other sprouts)
hello to you, new spring blooms,
For somebody who wrote the lyrics "the sun is gonna shine in my eyes again/there are gonna be blue skies again", I sure do lose sight of that every winter. But it's not the worst habit, because then every spring returning I am filled with a deep feral wonder at every blossom and sun-ray. It is very good to be here :)
Rockwood Recap
I had an amazing night playing once again at my favorite venue in New York!! Thank you to everyone who came and listened and laughed and cried a lil and clapped and held space. I'll be back at Rockwood in June for a showcase with Keepsake House (more info to come!)
Now to lay low for a bit before a summer full of shows<3

I am finalizing the last of the batch of singles that I demoed for a group of friends on Zoom back in 2020. I fretted for so long over whether or not it was ~too sexy~ and different from my other songs, but then figured that was silly to worry about so I'm putting it out!!! Fingers crossed for a May release if I finish mixing and mastering soon.
And I also am finishing writing the last of the tracks on the concept EP I'm working on for the late fall!! If you've seen me live you've heard me play some of the new ones and talk about the themes. I'll share more here in the newsletters to come, and am excited to bring you along this journey!!
Little Joys
The youtube influencers have succeeded in influencing me to finally set up a Notion account (This is the home page template that I use), and as someone who loves aesthetic organization...it is everything to me. My to do list, my calendar, my morning meditation journals, my meal plans, my monthly goals, my to-buy list, my reading list, all in one beautiful, navigable place. Chefs kiss.
"entering my villain era" is the playlist I constantly update and am always putting on shuffle to get through my day. Almost 3 hours long at this point and chock full of bops. I simply just want to feel a lil bit evil and unhinged sometimes ok??
Another thing about me is I'm a person who loves the floor. I'm writing this from the floor now, seated on the ground in my living room with my laptop on the coffee table. Floor time is underrated!! Something about the literal grounding of it makes me feel more present and less fidgety than at my chair in my desk. Plus it comes with the added bonus of sunshine squares coming through the window on sunny days.
Taken downtown on a beautiful day before eating churro popcorn while watching the D&D movie in theaters. I love this city very much.
