Library Gig, and Looking Forward
hello beautiful bookworms,
NYPL Corner Space Live!

It's a totally free show, so bring your co-workers after work to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library in Midtown for a lovely bunch of acoustic tunes!!

I'll also be selling CDs for the first time there!! I have 10 copies of The Gardener EP, and 10 copies of a mixtape of all the singles since then (pretty girl, so sad (guess that's why), can we be friends, and teenage dream / back of a car). Recommended price for each is ~$5!
If you can't make it but are still interested in a physical copy of my music, reach out and we'll find a way to get it to you!
in my natural habitat as a kid
This is probably my last gig of the calendar year (truly where did the year go) so I hope to connect with you there!!
Art I've Been Enjoying Lately
This past week and a half has been BONKERS in terms of the amount of art that I have seen!! I feel very inspired and very alive!!!!
The 1975's new live show is unlike anything I've ever seen. I didn't know concerts could be that- so conceptual and theatrical and experimental; intimate and bombastic all at once. I sobbed and screamed and had a pseudo-spiritual experience and came out the other side a new person.

I took a trip to Washington DC this past weekend and saw so much amazing visual art while there- Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirror Rooms at the Hirshorn Museum, the Raven and the Box of Daylight glassblowing exhibit at the Museum of the American Indian, and the extensive 19th century French impressionist painting collection at the National Gallery of Art.

While I was in Washington we also went to go see the live taping of Dadlands, a table top role playing game podcast special about an apocalyptic wasteland inhabited only by dads with the McElroy family playing and Brennan Lee Mulligan as game master. It was hilarious and we got to meet Brennan after (who is one of my favorite creators on the planet) so it was really special to get to thank him for all the joy he's brought me and my friends over the past few years.

New Chapters
I am so inspired by all the art happening lately and feel a renewed sense of excitement about creating again. Sometimes when I am in the natural ebbs of my creativity I fear that I'll never be able to access it the same way again, but it does always come back!! I have two possible EP concepts that I'm really excited about, as well as a plethora of other music that I'm demo-ing and will hopefully be putting out in 2023. Goal is by this point next year to at least double the amount of music I've put out so far. I have more than enough in the pipes. I just have to finish it. And then attempt to tackle the proverbial self-marketing/social media promo beast. But I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself.
Looking forward to hearing your resolutions for the next year as we get closer to it!! This home stretch is one of my favorite times of year.
I'm glad you're here.
In thanks,
Em
