And then some. 

At 2 pm ET today, the Kickstarter for my new album well and truly funded. $60,040 raised by 212 backers in 30 days. That is three times as much as we raised for The New World and, just like then, we overshot the original goal by about a third. This means I get to make the big, bold album I have been dreaming about.

Thank you. Your enthusiasm, your excitement, your belief in this project, and your joyful embrace of just the IDEA of this album have completely overwhelmed me. I have never felt more supported in my life. I will never stop being grateful.

Thanks to you, I will be able to record and release a full-length album with a breadth of vision and creative freedom I simply could not have considered without you. There will be album art, CDs, vinyl, music videos, merch, and more. I'll need incredibly talented artists in other fields to make all of this happen, and they'll be making things too. There's about to be a lot more art in the world, and you did that. Every stage of what comes next will be happening because of you.

I'm going to take a few days to scrape myself off the floor, and then I'm going to get to work on this album. You'll be hearing from me as the album progresses. And I'll probably say thank you a few hundred more times.
