Happy holiday weekend!!! I hope you’ve gotten to do something that brings you a great amount of whimsical joy. Honestly, we are all sleeping on whimsy. BE WHIMSICAL, it is the only way to survive 2026 imo.

I’ve been forcing myself to step away from the computer monster and breathe a lil bit. This Kickstarter is a LOOOOOOT. It’s hard to not get sucked into the “WHY AREN’T WE FUNDED ALL THE WAY TIMES A MILLION” monster. So making myself put my feet in the grass and look up at the moon helps a lot.

We’re currently at 69% funded, if you can even believe that. I barely can!!! One thing that’s helped me is how I keep thinking about how each one of those numbers is a person. A choice. A moment where someone said, “Yeah, I want to support Emily.”

Honestly I have been teary ever since Wednesday. Because wow. That means so much to me.

This campaign is already becoming something bigger than just an album. It feels like a community project, like something that takes many, many hands and hearts to make.
