Angela emailed me this week to share some fascinating information about EMD - her grandmother Daisy was EMD’s goddaughter. Angela still has the Bible that twelve-year-old EMD gave to Daisy at her baptism, with an inscription and signed in in her original name, Edmée de la Pasture. As I said to Angela, this must be a very rare artefact.

Angela’s great-grandparents lived in a house on the Llandogo Priory estate, where her great-grandfather was the family’s coachman and Daisy and her twin Violet were born in 1902.
