Why Down-to-the-Wire Works for Me... (only 3 hours left!!)

How I trust that magic that comes when I procrastinate...

Be here with me, in the Truth.

I PROMISE that this is the last you will hear from me about A Year of Intention because today, in just a few hours, I will be closing the application!

But I've got to tell you something: I am more excited now than I was at the inception of the idea, during all the moments I've written about it, talked about it, and created the framework about it.

And that's because my particular magic happens in the moments/days before I begin and then, especially, in the moments I'm right in front of the you, my people!

Over my many, many years of teaching yoga, hosting workshops and retreats, I’ve learned that the more I would try create a "theme" around the class/workshop/retreat, the more I tried to force it ahead of time, the less relevant it would be, the shallower the impact.

I've learned that I needed to patiently wait until the days, sometimes literally hours, before the thing would begin for what I now call the “magic download” to happen. That’s when I would know exactly why this particular group was gathering, what it is they needed to hear and know, and how to bring that to them.

That magic download for A Year of Intention started yesterday evening… and it’s all coming together AS I WRITE TO YOU, right now! It’s such an exhilarating feeling.

Friends:

This is the year we get clear.

This is the year we understand what we want/do not want.

This is the year we move past the internal barriers and learn to navigate the external barriers that keep us from doing the dang thing.

We’ll be talking about our habits, our tendencies, our dreams, our fears. We’ll hold each other accountable and, more importantly, hold each other up.

THIS. IS. THE. YEAR.

I am so excited for those of you who’ve already jumped in. And, going with the pool analogy because why not... for those of you peering down, teetering on the edge of the diving board - ask yourself, “What are you waiting for? Why did you even get up on the diving board in the first place? What were you wishing for that you now are questioning?” As the Zen saying reminds us, leap and the net will appear.

This isn’t for everyone. But if it’s for you, you know it. Gift yourself the gift of taking the leap.

, Ellie
