On not giving up..

Sometimes, reflecting on the year behind— depending on what it contained—doesn’t inspire wisdom or perspective.

 

Sometimes, being part of a world that sits witnessing the atrocities that humans inflict upon other humans—that humans inflict upon our one planet earth—doesn’t yield a result of hope or possibility.

 

Sometimes, we can’t envision a path forward—whether encased in the darkness of our personal experiences or in the darkness of our global experiences. 

 

Sometimes, the light feels inaccessible, if not impossible. Maybe even like the light we once thought we knew was only an illusion.

 

But these are the exact moments when the most important work begins… to soften inside yourself what can soften, to clearly place your attention on this one moment and open, to chose to do one thing that brings you out of contraction and into expansion, where the light exists.

 

And in that, recognizing that your light is completely intertwined with the light of the world. There is no separation unless we create it on the micro level (in relationship to ourselves) to the macro (in relationship to others).

 

When we overlook this fact, we give up. We give up on ourselves and on each other and on the very possibility of what we have the capacity to be. 

 

So I guess that’s it. That’s my wish for you and for me in 2024—that we not give up in each of the small moments and in all of the small ways that we do—the accumulation of which effects the entirety. 

 

Don’t underestimate the smallest and gentlest and don’t overvalue the big and dramatic.

Retreat Registration Info

Wow. The Spring Retreat really is RIGHT around the corner. I’m so excited and hope you are, too.

Registration is a bit different than year’s past so please read below thoroughly.


**Registration will open on Friday January 5th at 1pm EST**

BEFORE then, please take a moment to review the retreat webpage to familiarize yourself with all of the accommodation options. Several of the accommodations have the option for 1 person, 2 people or 3 people. 

Please note that if sharing an accommodation, only ONE person should register. There will be space on the deposit form to add additional people. 

Please be prepared with the following:

  • 1st choice accommodation 
  • 2nd choice accommodation 
  • if sharing your accommodation, please have the name(s), email address(es) and dietary considerations for each extra person
You will pay a non-refundable deposit ($300 per person) to hold your spot. Please be sure to pay the correct deposit amount for the number of people in the accommodation. 

If you click on the button to register (after 1pm on Jan 5th) and the form says “Checkout Unavailable” that means that accommodation has been booked. 

If you would like to get on the waiting list, please email me with the name of the desired accommodation(s).

Links to complete your payment will be sent out shortly after you've paid your deposit and will be due no later than February 15th. If payment is not received by then, you will forfeit your deposit and your space will be reopened.

PLEASE NOTE: Deposits and balances are non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, you can transfer your accommodation to someone else. However, I will be unable provide admin support to make that happen. If I have folks on the waitlist, I will gladly supply you with their name(s) and contact info so that you can reach out directly.



Save the Date:
Fall Retreat - Oct 18-20 @ Heartstone Lodge 
An intentionally smaller, more intimate 3 day/2 night retreat that will center around meditation, deeper inner work, and with a greater emphasis on silence. This retreat will be open to current or past meditation students and/or 1:1 or group coaching clients first. Stay tuned for details.

Small Group Coaching is intentionally designed for individuals who are looking to make a specific, tangible change in their lives and want highly-individualized coaching that is meaningful and unique to them while having the game-changing support of others on a similar path.

Small Group Coaching
- reduces the individual investment making it more financially accessible 


- allows individuals to work in the context of a consistent, committed group which allows for much-needed connection with others and a depth of learning from each other’s experiences 


- provides an additional container for accountability


- develops meaningful and authentic community over time



Groups will consist of 6-8 individuals and will meet every other week for 12 sessions (6 months) and will be a hybrid model that will include virtual and in-person sessions each month

JANUARY COHORT* - begins Jan 9th!
Tuesdays (EOW) from 1-2pm
*only one spot left!

APRIL COHORT 
Sundays (EOW) from 4-5pm

Weekly Meditation & Coaching Groups

These groups support ongoing, awareness-based work in connection with meditation practice.

Through awareness-based coaching tools & practices, we also have the chance to begin to undo the unconscious parts of ourselves that have us operating in a state of unrecognized reactivity to life.

The support and presence of a group of committed peers helps to guide individuals in personal growth and transformation.

This is a committed practice that meets weekly on an ongoing basis. Though we commit to 12-week sessions at a time, the value of the work continues the longer you stay in a group. The expectation is that you make a commitment to show up each week as fully as possible.

No prior meditation experience necessary


**New Group will be on Tuesdays 11:30am-12:30pm starting Jan 9th

Saturday Sit -
Jan 6th 2024

This is a monthly, in-person (or via Zoom!) guided meditation. Join us on Saturday, December 2nd from 9-10am for a 30-40 minute sit followed by space to share experiences and ask questions.  No prior meditation experience necessary.

By donation - suggested range: $10-$35

Intro to Meditation - single session @ RVAPT, Sunday, 01/21 @ 10am
In this intro class, I will cover the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of meditation practice, how to set yourself up so that you can sit for extended periods of time, and debunk some of the "myths" about meditation practice.

Intro to Meditation - 4-Week Series @ The Well Collective, Sundays 4-5pm (01/21-01/11)
Similar to the above, this series will give us more time to explore meditation and to dive deeper into how to utilize seated practice as a tool for self-discovery.


Yoga @ The Well Collective, Fridays from 9-10:15am
Asana, Pranayama & Meditation
 
is a weekly, ongoing yoga class incorporates yogic postures, breath work, and guided meditation.
