The work we do, not for ourselves.

Most of us enter into a work of mental and emotional healing to alleviate suffering in ourselves. Makes sense; humans do not like to suffer and there's a lot of suffering in being human.

We start with wanting to feel better. We begin to search for answers or options, sometimes taking one path for a bit before trying a new one. Healing take many forms. 

We begin to challenge old habits. We begin to carve new pathways. We begin to breakthrough in some places, maybe not in others. We begin to believe that something else might be possible--something we don't yet know.

As we heal, we do less harm. And that is an ongoing work that takes years and years to work through layers of acquired conditioning.

Fall Retreat - Oct 18-20 @ Heartstone Lodge
 
An intentionally smaller, more intimate 3 day/2 night retreat that will center around meditation deeper inner work, with a greater emphasis on silence. This retreat will be open to current or past meditation students and/or 1:1 or group coaching clients first. Stay tuned for details.

Learn with Me:

Intro to Meditation

Intro to Meditation class or series will begin with an overview of the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of meditation practice, how to set yourself up so that you can sit for extended periods of time, and debunk some of the "myths" about meditation. We will explore how to meditate and progressively practice lengthening the duration of seated practice.

In the 4-week series, you will receive a take-away each week that will help you develop your personal practice. There will be plenty of time for asking questions and getting guidance on all aspects of the practice.

*RTCAC is a multi-purpose non-profit organization that exists to inspire, encourage, and restore healthy community life to the residents of North Church Hill, primarily through arts, fitness and nutrition-based programs, and community events. All programming is donor subsidized; if you have the capacity to make an additional donation during registration, please do.

- a practice that will incorporate yogic postures, breath work, and guided meditation.

*The Well Collective is a space for conscious community that offers multicultural, intergenerational wellness, equitable healing modalities, educational workshops for our individual and collective well-being. 

Saturday Sit -
Feb 10th 2024

This is a monthly, in-person (or via Zoom!) guided meditation. Join us on Saturday, December 2nd from 9-10am for a 30-40 minute sit followed by space to share experiences and ask questions.  No prior meditation experience necessary.

By donation - suggested range: $10-$35
