Practices to support your life

What are your go-to well-being things? The things you do/incorporate in your life to maintain your overall sense of well-being…

And are those things currently supporting you?

I know we all love our routines, our good habits, our rituals… but if they’re approached from an unconscious, auto-pilot place, they may not be serving you as much as you think they are.

There is no fixed path or final “perfect” equation that leads to happiness or wholeness or fulfillment. 

Just as we evolve and change with life’s organic unfolding, the ways in which we tend to ourselves (and the world) needs to change. 

Be curious, be open. Try and see and shift.

My go-to well-being things have been mostly fine, as of late. But as I've been navigating more difficult conditions in my life, I've noticed more depletion, more agitation, and a lot less availability to meet life, as it is. That's always my moment to reflect on what's happening inwardly and to get curious about what else I need (or don't need) to recalibrate.

So I've picked up some old tools - ones I've had in my rusty ole toolbox for 20 years but haven't regularly utilized in the past few - yoga & pranayama (aka: breathwork).

The immediate experience of relief and resiliency that has come is, in part, the nature of these incredible practices and, in part, the experience of trusting myself to know what I needed and how to provide it. 

Developing (or redeveloping, really) trust is some of the core work I do with so many of my clients. We enter the world trusting and then that trust weakens until we've forgotten it was ever even there.

In a given moment, perhaps one which feels challenging, pause and ask yourself "what do I need right now?" And be curious about the different "selves" that answer that question - which one is coming from a more truthful, authentic place?

And if you don't know how to meet that need, try something - anything - and see what it offers you, how you feel in it. Refer back to an old post of mine about "Try & Information" instead of "Trial & Error."

Weekly Meditation & Coaching Groups
changing our relationship to life, from the inside out
 



Spring 12-week Sessions 
Wednesdays: 1-2pm begins April 6th
Thursdays: 11:30am-12:30pm begins April 7th

We all have learned who to be, what to be, and how to be in this world. This conditioned way of operating in the world keeps us limited in our relationship to our life as it directs us, unconsciously, in the choices we make, the actions we take, and in what we believe about ourselves and the world.

With on-going, awareness-based, practices, we have the chance to begin to undo the unconscious parts of ourselves that have us operating in a state of unrecognized reactivity to life. The support and presence of a group of committed peers helps guide individuals in personal growth and transformation. No prior meditation experience necessary.

Please note that the teachings that I am giving during our groups are sacred in nature. They have been given to me by my teacher and to her by hers and so on. It is an honor and a privilege for me to be able to share what I have been given. Our groups are also a safe and intentional space. We, therefore, commit to:
-- keeping sacred & confidential all that is shared during our time together
-- showing up consistently & wholeheartedly - giving our full attention to whoever is speaking
-- while meeting virtually, my expectation is that you keep your cameras on and take care of any necessities (eating, restroom, etc) prior to the beginning of group

Please indicate which group you can commit to (if either day works, please let me know). If you have not worked with me in some capacity before, please let me know - I will request a quick video call to learn more about you to make sure this is the right fit.
