Self-remembering:
isn’t remembering oneself at a particular age or stage of life but, rather, the experience of one’s most aligned, centered and authentic self throughout time and space.
It isn’t returning to specific people or places or foods or music or anything else that we *thought* were the reason we felt a particular way (though, yes, those things can evoke that within us).
Self-remembering:
is remembering our essence, our purest and most expansive self that felt most present during certain moments of our lives PLUS the recognition that that very self is here with us now. It is always us.Â
The remembering of that self reminds us that we have, un- or sub-consciously pulled ourself away from it; that we’ve fully attached to a whole lot of stories and beliefs that forces a wedge between that authentic, free self and the one we feel we’ve become.
Next time you feel that deeper, more whole and connected self, recognize it as you; as your most true, uninhibited self. Notice what *isn’t* there - which identities, thoughts, beliefs aren’t separating you from yourself.
It’s so important to know that we are on a journey of >>returning<< not one of creating; a process of unraveling to find ourselves rather than layering on to build something we ultimately are not.Â
You already are what you are seeking. You already are your best self.
