If I’m being honest, all the days of life call for strawberry rhubarb hand pies. 

But rhubarb & strawberries have their own idea on that and only give us their gifts now. 

So now is when we make the best use of them. Now is the time.

I didn’t realize how much I’m a do-it-later kind of person… all the times I’ve pushed things off that I really wanted - time spent with would-be-could-be-friends, time doing things I love, time learning things I’ve always wanted to learn, time being creative…. 

Our lives are made up by the cumulative experience created by the tiny choices we make every day. 

The choices we are making right now… these choices create our life - positive or negative. Not what we think we’ll do tomorrow or next week or next year… but now.

Now is the time.

*Quarterly Retreats*

I’ve been holding retreats for almost a decade… yoga/meditation/wellness. 

And I’ve been guiding meditations, multiple times a week for a few years.

But this past Saturday was a new experience. This past Saturday, I held my first half-day silent meditation retreat.

The sacred gift that has been given to me by my teacher over the past 9+ years has transformed me and change my relationship with my life.

To be an expression of those same teachings, to be able to empty myself of “me” and allow that guidance and understanding to come through me and then to witness to experiences of the students who showed up today is something for which I don’t truly have words.

The concept of gratitude doesn’t cover it, though the open-hearted experience of gratitude does come close.

As I was leaving the gem of a space that is the @innerworkcenter (a huge thanks to my dear friend Rachel for hosting us), I noticed this note, hanging among many along the hallway wall… 

“Can’t see ahead; still going forward” 

This is trusting. This is following. This is resting into something other than our minds, which desperately need to know. This is the way forward.

I will be offering retreats, in some form, quarterly — my 4-day wellness retreat in October is sold out but be on the look out for other silent retreats in the winter & spring.

What does this mean? As a certified Life Coach, an ERYT-500 (advanced/senior Yoga Teacher), and Meditation Teacher, I am uniquely poised to support anyone who is wanting to make any kind of change in their lives by looking at the WHOLE person.

With a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, the ways in which patterned thinking and doing impacts (and often disrupts) the life we want to experience, and the effects of those things on our physiological and emotional wellbeing, I take a never-one-size-fits-all approach to helping clients identify what they want, what is holding them back, and how to develop tangible actions that help them get there.
