Hello - I'm happy to be here with you.
I love the Fall -- and not just because I love sitting outside on a cool, crisp morning drinking coffee or because being outside doing anything at all is, in general, so pleasant after the heat and humidity of the summer months.
I love the Fall because it feels like a time to pause + reset; to prepare for what you want to cultivate in your life.
We often view Fall as the beginning of the end - shorter days, darker nights, leaves falling, summer gardens emptying. But I think of Fall as the beginning of the beginning. What comes in Spring and Summer truly starts now.
Fall is the time to lay the groundwork for moving forward in whatever way you wish. Knowing that we are moving into the winter, a season of dormancy and quiet, we can use the Fall to clear ourselves out, to ready our internal landscape so that what we want to grow can have the space and time it needs to ready itself in a healthy ecosystem.

HAPPINESS VS JOY: A DISCUSSION

Happiness is not a science. It’s not something that you can create by figuring out the perfect ratio of this and that and the other thing. There is no precise equation for any one individual (or for whole groups of people, for that matter) that guarantees happiness.
However, there are always choices we can make to increase our joy, to create an overall sense of well-being, to move toward connection.
This discussion will explore their relationships and professional experiences with happiness, and joy, and consider the sticky places we sometimes go on our road there.
You can expect an exchange full of wisdom, soul and honesty + ideas for creating space where there is possibility, inspiration, awe, creativity, and deep connection to life as it is.
This talk will be moderated to keep it tight and lively. Your questions can be submitted beforehand, and/or asked as they arise during the talk. It’s a special opportunity to hear from two inspiring women, leaving you with new tools and frameworks.

Six weeks from now, we will be heading to beautiful Middleburg, Virginia for a multi-day retreat focused on grounding, emptying, reconnecting (with ourselves + community) and laying the foundation for what we wish to grow in our lives.
With a focus on nurturing wellbeing, the retreat will include twice daily yoga practices (including breath work and deep relaxation), twice daily guided meditations, plenty of time + space for rest.
All of the private rooms have been booked but there are a handful of spots left in our private cottage. The cottage has two spacious, light-filled rooms with multiple beds in each, a back porch and a private fire circle. The cottage will also be our main meeting space for yoga practices.
Registration for the retreat officially closes on October 15th (unless the cottage fills up before then!).

This donation-based monthly meditation will be a 45-minute sit followed by 15-30 minutes of guidance on individual experiences from the sit.
Suggested donation: $10-$40.
