So much fun stuff happening right now! I'm teaching more, coaching a LOT more, and out in the community doing public and private workshops and events. It's a lot of stuff I love. I've also had sick kiddos and massive upheavals to my childcare situation. Stuff that creates a lot of difficulty and challenge. And all of this takes a lot of time and energy and attention.

It can be so easy to get swept up into the momentum of life, to feel almost overwhelmed with the fullness of it all. Being a big advocate of intentional self-care, I get a little nervous (given my history) that by putting a lot of time and attention and energy into my work and my family that it will eventually cause some harm, depletion, instability for me because all of that energy is NOT being put into myself.

But the truth is, when we are operating from a place of wellness (a foundation which is built on WHATEVER WAYS YOU TAKE CARE OF YOU - physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically) AND operating in alignment with who we are, we truly can meet it all. And not at our own expense. 

There is not ONE right "work-life balance" for everyone. In fact, there as many "balances" as there are people. But I encourage you to ask yourself if the one you currently have is the right one for you. And know that with the ebbs and flows of life, that balance can and should shift and change.

Remember that you are your own person, unique in all the ways. And someone else's self-care cannot be yours. Someone else's perfect work-life balance cannot be yours. Get to know yourself. Feel into what gives you energy and what depletes you. Carve out time and space to include things that support you in your day. It's often, if not always, the small, "micro-forms" of self-care that create a cumulative effect on us.

Meditation is a state of being. We practice by sitting down, getting quiet and learning how to harness and direct our attention, waking us up to the full experience of the life again and again. As a result, we begin to actually be IN life, experiencing it fully. Seated practice allows us to learn about ourselves, about these wonderful and wild minds of ours, and about our humanness. Seated practice can provide us with the space to feel a deeper sense of wellbeing, vitality, and groundedness.

Join me for a donation-based meditation practice every-other-Monday evening from 7-7:30pm. The practice will include 20 minutes of guided meditation and 10 minutes for guidance at the end of the sit. 

Suggested donation range: $5-$20

Your Intuitive Compass - How to Use Your Body + Mind to Design Your Life

In this immersive workshop, I will lead you through two, life-changing exercises that will help you get more in sync with your inner self:

  • The Body Compass - our bodies hold more energy than we can even begin to imagine. This exercise will teach you how to listen to and decode the subtle physical signs your body sends you in order to make more informed decisions in your life.
  • Your Ideal Day - this powerful exercise will help you leverage your creativity to imagine your ideal day. But it doesn't stop there - you'll learn how to take practical steps to implement your ideal day into YOUR present, every day.
