So many of us want change - we want to change ourselves, we want to change what we see in the world. But change cannot occur by staying in the state of what we already know. We can only replicate, in some way, what we already know - whether that’s in our relationship to ourselves, in our relationship to others, the ways we think, the beliefs we hold.
True change can only come through learning - whether by choice or by accident…
The purpose of learning isn’t to reinforce what you already know.
True learning is opening you up to something you don’t yet know.
Once that opening occurs and new understanding settles in, only then can it serve to deepen your knowing whether by supporting it or, perhaps, by changing it entirely.
It’s a never-ending process which can, at first, feel daunting and scary - to intentionally step over the walls our minds have built - but, we discover is actually the path to expansive freedom.
Choose to learn when and how you can and welcome the moments that force the learning. All of it is here to usher you along the path; honor it. 🙏🏼
