The truth is: I don’t know how to not carry the weight of the world.
From the micro to the macro, I am deeply effected by suffering, pain, and hardship witnessed in the world.
I’m often told that I need to set it down - to maintain some form of boundary between me and the world - that it is too much and how can a person make it through the day holding all of that.
But I don’t see any other way.
If I am to move in the world as a form of love and healing then I must be hollowed out by pain and suffering. Knowing that the emptiness is space and, if I can hold the tension created by the desire to shut down or shut off, that space becomes full with not just the wish to end pain and suffering but with possibility and potential.
The trickiest part of staying open to the world is not attaching to the pain and not collapsing under the weight of it. Carrying it with you, letting it inform you and remind you of what matters most, and letting your actions come from there is both subtly and entirely different than allowing it to solidify into a mass that impedes action.
Bracing against the truth doesn’t change the truth.
Open, feel, see, open again.

Weekly Meditation & Coaching Groups
changing our relationship to life, from the inside out
We all have learned who to be, what to be, and how to be in this world. This conditioned way of operating in the world keeps us limited in our relationship to our life as it directs us, unconsciously, in the choices we make, the actions we take, and in what we believe about ourselves and the world.
Through awareness-based coaching tools & practices, we have the chance to begin to undo the unconscious parts of ourselves that have us operating in a state of unrecognized reactivity to life. The support and presence of a group of committed peers helps guide individuals in personal growth and transformation. No prior meditation experience necessary.
