I am SUPER excited to announce that I've set up a Patreon page for yoga & mediation classes!
What is Patreon, you ask?
Well... originally developed for artists and musicians, Patreon is a membership site that:
--> allows me to offer you live and recorded yoga and meditation classes
--> allows you to pick and choose what you want to receive
There are "tiers" for everyone - whether you're looking for some short and simple practices to fit in anytime you can, have time for longer classes, and even if you want me to curate a special-request class just for you each month!
I hope you will join my community and share with anyone you think might be interested!
A client told me recently, through laughter, “a funny thing happened the other day, Ellie. I realized how bored I am of being myself.” To which I responded, “Yeeesssssss!!! That’s incredible!!! I’m so excited for you!”
I was celebrating because, it’s only when we truly tire of our stories, our habits, our ways of being in and navigating through life, that we are really pivoting into a different self - a more authentic, connected, and happy self - and a different life - one that is full of potential and opportunity.
I remember the very moment - about 7-8 years ago - when I became incredibly bored with myself - not with life but with my own inner monologue. It was actually quite a surprisingly funny moment. It was like I saw my inner stories and drama all projected onto a screen for the whole world to see. And when they did, I realized how incredibly boring and monotonous the story line was - same old doubts, same old fears, same old stories - and I realized that no one (but me, who happened to be completely captivated by this saga for years upon years) would make it past Season 1 : Episode 2. Netflix would pull that show before the season even wrapped.
It was then that I realized that I not only wasn’t interested but that I didn’t actually NEED to be interested. That I could just set all of that down, stop watching the show, and move on to a new, much more interesting and fulfilling story of my life - the one that was actually in front of me. In that life, there were relationships, situations, and experiences, all completely unshaped and untainted by my conditioned way of being in relationship to myself and the world.
So, please, y’all, get bored with yourself! Get sick and tired of you! Not from a dispair, giving up hope kind of place but from a place of new possibility - a completely hopeful place. What can enter into all of the space that’s created when you let go of who you think you should be, what you think you should be doing?
This group combines meditation and life coaching tools along with the support and presence of a group of committed peers to help guide individuals in personal growth and transformation. Undoing Unconscious Racism
Workshop Series & Racial Affinity Group Work UPDATES:
The second cohort of this workshop series started this past weekend. This wonderful group of individuals showed up with courage, vulnerability, and a fire to create deep and lasting change in the realm of unconscious racism and with the goal of racial justice. It is such an honor to now have close to 50 people working together in this way.
If you are interested in participating in the 3rd cohort of this workshop series & racial affinity group work, please email me to let me know. Next cohort will begin in the early Fall.
